Are you acquainted with the works of Eduard Sangadzhiev? I am glad if you are. If not, let me introduce him to you. In 1987 Eduard returned to Elista after many years of studying in Moscow. Having a good school as a master of the monumental painting he devoted himself to a easel painting. It is organic for him because the inner world of his images can reflect the real world of a man. Edik works hard and a lot. His active creative nature is overfilled with ideas, in his consciousness there is a countless number of images just striving for the canvas. This is a special fantastic and bright world, the world of the past and the present where "The Bhudda of Creation" and "Good people - inhabitants of Leningrad" stay together. In his works there are a lot of images from the childhood in Elista. Nature is one of the main sources of his canvas. Sangadzhiev's landscapes are dedicated to the Kalmyk steppes: on his pictures we again and again recognize what we call our Small Motherland. Eduard's talent as portraitist, his ability to react to the changing state of spirit turned out to be outstanding. This quality leads the artist to reflecting what can be seen with the help of the light rich of palette. Such are "Dreams about India", "Eltashka". The paiting of Edik Sangadzhiev is the admiration of life which is always light and joyful. It spontaneously opens a poetry of the usual things.
